Part-time Medical receptionist

Purpose of the Position: 

To provide secretarial and administrative support to the practitioners of Proactive Pelvic Health Centre (PPHC)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greet all clients and assist as required (ie: those with mobility limitations, infants or children)

  • Receive, direct and relay telephone, fax and email messages

  • Answer all phone calls and take messages, book client appointments

  • Use of electronic medical record documentation and online scheduling systems

  • Invoice clients and receive payments

  • Fax and mail doctors letters and any other correspondence required by practitioners

  • Assist with practitioner filing and photocopying

Skills Required:

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Excellent customer service

  • Organization and ability to multi-task

  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills

  • Computer skills to be able to use accounting software, scheduling system, email, word processing and social media

  • Excellent time management skills

Education:

  • Minimum post-secondary education in administration or related field

Established in 2012, Proactive Pelvic Health Centre is a busy multi-disciplinary pelvic health practice in the Toronto East (Danforth) area and we have recently expanded to the Toronto West community. We have an experienced team of pelvic health physiotherapists and other allied health professionals. We assist clients of all ages and genders with bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction concerns. Some conditions and populations we treat include: incontinence, prolapse, persistent pelvic pain, pre and post urologic and gynaecologic surgery, pregnancy and postpartum, post cancer and menopause (GSM). We are looking to add another pelvic physiotherapist to our team.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Have completed, or in the process of completing pelvic health training courses in incontinence, pelvic pain and central sensitization (Level 1-3 Pelvic Health Solutions or equivalent)

  • Be registered and rostered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario to perform internal pelvic floor assessment and treatment

  • Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment for pelvic health concerns

  • 2 years of experience in pelvic health and/or orthopaedic physiotherapy is an asset but not required
